Welcome, oh great budding physicists!
Updated August 15, 2021
This is your class landing page, you will want to come here every week to check for any class announcements. Physics is a beautiful discipline; its range of topics are as vast as the expanding universe itself. The physical phenomena we observe is so precise and regular, that all of it can be described with mathematical equations and cosmological constants. Everyone is impacted by the laws of physics, whether you are a baker fussing with a delicate souffle, a baseball pitcher working on a curve ball, or an artist working with canvas and oils; physics is everywhere. Your life will be fuller and under a bit more control if you are a good student in this class and understand the principles of physics covered. For those of you enrolled in this class, congratulations are in order, your life is about to get better! "Flipped" course format
What to expect in Week 1
So, Conceptual Physics students, do make sure you prepare yourselves for class ahead of time by watching the videos I post, and by reading in your textbook - as classroom time will be reserved for application. Every section of your text is broken down into it's own video. Below I have videos for all three sections of Chapter 1 - Describing the Physical Universe, which are as follows:
If you are in Conceptual Physics, please make sure you do the following before classes start:
