On Tuesday we performed a titration on vegetable oil you will be using for your biodiesel project. Do make certain you understand the purpose and function of the titration, and bring your data to class on Tuesday. In the big picture, we are trying to ascertain how much EXTRA potassium hydroxide we need to add to our vegetable oil/ methanol mixture when we make biodiesel.
On Thursday, we started Chapter 7 - An Overview of the Most Common Elementary Steps. These elementary steps are as follows:
